Lindsay Broadband offers powerful standalone, compact uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions for backup power in the customer premise. Lindsay can also offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor bundled UPS solutions for RF and optical MDU (multi-dwelling unit), NIU (network interface unit), and CPE (customer premise equipment) applications.
These UPS solutions provide backup power, allowing operators to maintain constant power to critical network equipment during mains electrical outages. These cost-effective, installer-friendly systems deliver 12 VDC to virtually any advanced device including MDU amplifiers, subscriber amplifiers, GPONs, ONTs (optical network terminals), cable modems, routers, IP cameras, RFoG (RF over glass) or mini nodes, etc. Increased reliability and QoS (quality of service) are provided for all advanced digital services in homes, MDUs, office buildings, hospitals and schools where traditional standby power is not an option. Both VLRA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) or Li-ion (lithium-ion) battery technologies are available to deliver a wide variety of backup run-times. All solutions offer features such as zero millisecond power transfer time, battery charge/discharge and safety management, LED status indicators, output overload and surge protection, as well as standard F-female connections.
Standalone CPE UPS solutions are available in an economical 24-hour/25 W version with telemetry.
Bundled UPS solutions are provided in lockable, weatherproof, temperature-cycled (-20°C to +55°C (-4°F to +131°F)), wall mount, polypropylene/polycarbonate enclosures with hidden hinges. These cost-effective, installer-friendly systems allow simple installation and set up with easy battery replacement. Bundled solutions accept Lindsay or third-party customer equipment. Custom UPS systems are also available upon request.
