Lindsay Broadband’s LB-1000 3RU optical headend access platform is a converged headend, hub access platform that enables cable operators and services providers to build, migrate or upgrade their existing analog and/or digital networks to meet the ever-growing demand for advanced video, high-speed data and VoIP services.
The LB-1000 optical headend access platform simplifies the cable operator’s transition to fiber deep HFC and next generation FTTx architecture by offering a complete range of hot-swappable, robust, optical application modules for hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC), RF over glass (RFoG), and PON/video overlay related applications.
Due to its compact design, the LB-1000 platform fits in a standard 19” 3RU rack, with 18 slots for application modules including: 1310 nm/1550 nm transmitters, return receivers, forward receivers, erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), system management control module, 2 cooling fan modules, and redundant AC or DC power supply modules. (NOTE: The chassis must be ordered with 2 power supplies and the system management control module.) The standard chassis supports both 1 GHz and 1.2 GHz modules.
The LB-1000 platform offers a user-friendly management interface with a built-in TFT color touch screen, which displays the status of each module. The system management control module supports web GUI management and advanced SNMP-oriented network management via a standard Ethernet network interface.
