Lindsay Broadband offers Iskratel’s SI3000 MNS Managed Node System as an effective and reliable management solution, enhanced with comprehensive functions for service provisioning and plug-ins for back-end integration. Maintaining a central inventory and service repository, the MNS is a service-enabling platform for new applications and revenue streams.
The MNS provides a unique answer to centralized network management and operations support system/business support system (OSS/BSS) automation. It can be tailored to meet the specific needs of broadband operators, enabling them to focus on new services and apps, and to respond to customer needs while guaranteeing resilient, reliable operation, using a virtualized platform that scales seamlessly.
The MNS is a management platform for monitoring and provisioning SI3000 network elements such as the G16 GPON and XG8 XGS-PON OLT. The database stores the complete inventory of managed network elements, repository of created and provisioned services, up-to-date status of user interfaces, and an infrastructure for providing assured services.
The MNS supports various service-delivery models. The most common is the single-operator (or “vertically integrated”) model, where a single provider manages the network and the network equipment, provides services, and offers its infrastructure to retail service providers. The SI3000 MNS operates comfortably in multi-operator environments with “vertically separated” service providers and network operators, providing its benefits to all parties in a wholesale model.
The MNS can be upgraded into a geo-redundant solution, providing resiliency with a “standby” replica of the main/active site established at a remote location to prevent losing control of the network.
